Andrew Granade is a professor of musicology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory and the author of Harry Partch: Hobo Composer. He writes and speaks regularly about issues in American music, including experimental traditions, film and television music, and the wind band.
David Thurmaier is Associate Professor of Music Theory at the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory. His research interests and publications focus on the music of Charles Ives, the Beatles, and the history of music theory in America. He also co-hosts a Beatles podcast on Podbean called "I've Got A Beatles Podcast."
Andrew and David have team-taught classes several times, given public lectures together, and share a fascination with American music in all its variety and diversity.
